the Rodwell Trail follows a disused passenger railway line, now a wonderfully, accessible wildlife corridor.

The Trail is a fully surfaced 2 mile route suitable for walkers, scooters, bicycles and mobility scooters. It takes you past old station platforms and Sandsfoot Castle, with lovely views out across Portland Harbour towards Portland. It is part of National Cycle Route 26 which extends southward to the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, the country’s premier sailing venue and host venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events.
